When I think of the choices I have made

When I see all the prices we have paid

I see the mess that is trailing behind

And I look for a place to rewind

I want to go back to a time before now

To make it all better somehow

I get lost looking back, and I fall

Please tell me how I can get through it all

I need a guide today more than any other day

I need a course that will bring me back home

I need to know that the choices that I’m making are right

I need to know that I’m not all alone

When the mirror looks back in a forlorn way

And I wish that you’d come back to stay

As I try to decide what I’m needing to do

And I look for the strength that will pull me through

I drop so low that I wonder what I’m doing here

Cause all the time all I really am feeling is fear

What went wrong in  my life that I just don’t know

Now the dice that is life I’m preparing to throw

I need a guide today more than any other day

I need a course that will bring me back home

I’m not strong enough to be here on my own

Yet people say that through this I should really have grown

But I feel like a child who has lost their new toy

And I act just the same like a small, small boy

Now my face is adourned with a see through smile

And inside I’m collapsing all the while

If I could meet anyone it would have to be you

Cause after all of this time my feelings stay true
